first Alexander Dumas,then Camus,now Monet men who represent the greatness of France are to be exhumed and re interred in the Pantheon in Paris .in Camus case we have stated our distaste for this outsider and absurdist to be placed amongst the establishment .nothing has happened yet he still rests in lourmarin. meanwhile it is suggested that Monet should be moved from giverny .in England you get one shot and that's it .this moving of the great to one spot reduces them to museum pieces for the tourist board to exploit.this is once again a notion dreamed up by sarkozy. as an admirer of both Camus and Monet i feel their last wishes should be respected.ok i am british but i am also a french rate payer and have a vested interest in France but also a respect for individuality that feels last wishes should remain free from interference no matter what nation you exist in

unwelcome interference

the prseident of france has every right to disagree with the u'k on foreign policy monetary matters, recently he has probably been right to do so. however his praise and support of gordon brown the source of many of our woes i'e two wars where troops were badly equipped ,is distinctly unwelcome. we'll support who we please.nor did i agree with british celebrities lining up with obama, once again none of their business even though they may have been right .i for one wish celebrities would stay well out of it, modesty is something that doesnt abound amongst this so called elite nor does intellectual capacity-so will sting, sarkozy and bono etc keep out of it and let the people have their say unhindered. if its brown again ok but we dont need outside nudges to decide

La nuit mimosa

Qui n'a pas eu cette expérience ignore, je crois, la portée des sens et plus encore la véritable "vue" de l'esprit. Et cette capacité à "voir" n'est pas réellement visuelle mais olfactive, presque gustative. Voilà la nuit venue sur Mandelieu. Tout enveloppés dans le lait bleu de la nuit monte à mes narines la présence sculpturale d'un mimosa dessiné sur la colline. Je ne le vois pas, je le ressens, le pressens, le touche, le goûte, il est là, invisible mais puissant. Il est dans son odeur, ou plutôt son odeur dit tout de lui. L'odeur déplie devant elle le monde qu'elle suggère: le printemps juste en avance, les cieux bleus et les roches rouges ou argileuses, les matins d'un violet léger sur la méditerranée, le sourire d'un amoureux, le baiser rendu, la mémoire des premiers rayons réchauffants nos corps engourdis. Tout cet univers fusionne en une odeur nocturne. Une odeur immense réduite à une fulgurance invisible baignée de nuit et d'absence. J'ai dans les veines le parfum de ce soir là.
