Christmas in England is a strictly family affair ,friends come next day, boxing day. this is proceeded by christmas evening meal. maybe in a restaurant but usually at home - beouf en daube in daubier with lots of vegetables, is a favourite maybe a crumble pudding, champagne and mulled wine. Christmas day present opening begins at 8 usually scrambled eggs smoked salmon or croissants, for breakfast . afterwards together with neighbors champagne cocktails .the meal doesn't begin until after 3 -clock and the queens television broadcast vive la reine the toast in champagne .the table here is set for 11 the center piece the turkey with stuffing ham and sausages.bacon,then vegetables ,sprouts ,potato etc. this is followed by Christmas pudding brandy poured over and set alight, we usually drink rose wine. later we cut the Christmas cake which contains mixed fruits ,Orange peel, rum etc a Lucky sixpence and is iced with decorations on top ,after that we play cards or monopoly or trivial pursuit or watch a movie on TV thats a typical polar British Christmas
